Former NFL Draft pick Khyree Jackson, two other killed in early morning crash
Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Maryland early Thursday morning, the team announced.
Jackson was a fourth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia Tech, where he was a two-time All-ACC selection. Jackson was expected to compete for a starting role in the Vikings' secondary this season.
The Vikings released a statement expressing their condolences to Jackson's family and friends. "We are deeply saddened and devastated by the passing of Khyree Jackson," the statement read. "Khyree was a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. He will be dearly missed by our organization and the entire NFL community."
